The script of Gemalogía was based on a true love letter by Rick Limentani, and developed into a        short film idea by Rebeca Cobos. It began as a narrative with no dialogue, but as the story took place it became clear that it would be best told as two interwoven timelines, which made a short film the ideal medium.
